The Design Process

How does the design process work?
Though every web design project is different, below is a representation of our general guidelines for an average custom project.

Project Preparation Phase

After receiving a completed design questionnaire where you can share some thoughts on your proejct, we will begin preparing your project for assignment to a designer. We also require you to begin creating copy for your content pages and having a working category structure created on your site.

Project Contact & Development Phase

Your designer will contact you to begin your project and hold an initial consultation. He or she will help outline your objectives, your expectations and what to expect from our services. During these steps we will combine your design questionnaire with our expertise to brainstorm the first concepts. Once you and your designer have consulted, we will begin actual development of a concept for your new site design. After submission of a first draft, depending on the package you have chosen, your designer will work with you through 3-6 revisions, if needed to finalize your design.

The process can last 1-4 weeks depending on your package and your level of communication.

Project Approval & Completion Phase

After you have had the opportunity to review your designers concepts, we are ready to move forward to implementing the layout. Following the approval and completion of your chosen design layout, your designer will upload the working design to your site and make adjustments to your storefront to match the color and font scheme. After you have had the chance to review your new design, you and your designer will sign off on the project and this completes the design process. Your new design will interact directly with the product database you have loaded and created!
How long does it take?
Our two design packages offer two varied timelines for your project. We will work with you to get your project started as soon as possible. Our Design requires you and your designer to complete all phases of the project within a maximum of two weeks giving you more time to see concepts, revise our work and be 100% satisfied.

All of our custom projects have enforced deadlines to ensure that your web site can be up and running as quickly as possible. The process is largely dependent upon you as we'll rely on your initial information, feedback, and continued communication to help your web site reach its full potential.
